Prices vary according to services undertaken but are normally charged on an hourly basis; transcription, however, is done on a price per audio minute thus enabling you to know exactly the final cost of each assignment. Digital transcription involves the dictation/recording of voice onto a digital recording device, which is then played back for transcription. The huge advantage is that it allows you to record your dictation and send the digital file immediately to us for digital transcription. This enables us to receive your digital file no matter where you are in the world, allowing us to get on with the job immediately, if necessary.

We use Express Scribe software, which has the ability to play most audio file formats (including encrypted dictation files), such as wav, mp3, dct and dss.

We pick up files from your account, transcribe the documents and return the completed document in Word format.

The time taken in transcribing tapes depends on a number of factors. The professional industry standard allows ONE hour to transcribe 15 minutes of clearly recorded speech. However, transcriptions of one to one interviews can take up to six times the length of tape and multiple interviews up to eight times. The timings are dependent upon the quality of the recording, the clarity of the speaker(s), the number of speakers and the speed at which they are speaking.

Your typing/word processing staff do not need to be located in your office. Many legal and medical organisations are switching to digital transcription because of the efficiencies and cost savings it provides.

In the course of rendering secretarial assistance, Type 4 You will be exposed to and have in its possession Confidential Information. Type 4 You pledges not to use any portion of the Confidential Information for any purpose other than that required for the fulfilment of secretarial services.

Specifically, Type 4 You will not at any time or in any manner, either directly or indirectly, use for personal gain, or divulge, disclose, or communicate in any manner any information that is proprietary to the Client, or otherwise divulge any portion of the Confidential Information to any third party without the prior written consent of the client.

Type 4 You will protect such information and treat it as strictly confidential.

Type 4 You acknowledges that the client reserves the right to terminate any contract should they become aware of any unauthorized use of the Confidential Information.

Type 4 You will supply, on request, an appropriate Non-Disclosure document for completion by both parties prior to undertaking any work.

In accordance with UK and European law under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have numerous rights in regards to the personal data we hold about you, including:

  • Right to confirmation – you have the right to know if we hold personal data that concerns you
  • Right to access – you have the right to view and to obtain a copy of any personal data we hold that concerns you
  • Right to rectification – you have the right to the correction of any inaccuracies within the personal data we hold that concerns you
